You decide to go to the Big Top. That's where the most action is, right? There appears to be a small number of performers practicing bits of their show. You can't decide who to approach. Pierrot makes the decision for you, leading you to a girl in a mask.
The girl is practicing a trick with chains before Perry interrupts her.
She looks physically nervous and fidgets often.

Introduce yourself.

???: -She mumbles something through the mask. You can't hear her.-

Perry snaps at her to speak up. She flinches and repeats herself. She's still rather quiet.

???: Sorry. My name is Nelly.
Nelly: It's nice to meet you, [Name].

1) Ask why she hides her face.
2)Ask to see a trick.

1. Ask why she hides her face.
She looks away and doesn't respond until Perry snaps at her again. All she says is "I don't want to talk about it."

2. Ask to see a trick.
She stares at you both and for a second you think she's going to refuse.

Nelly: ..ok. I guess one trick won't hurt.

Unfortunately, Perry doesn't allow it. She isn't allowed to reveal tricks from the show beforehand.
Nelly fidgets some more.
Nelly: Right, I'm sorry.

If you chose 1, it leads to:
Undeterred, you ask instead about the designs. They look colourful and strange. She touches it, as if surprised you noticed.

Nelly:Oh...I drew these. Sometimes other people draw them.

You gesture for her to continue. She looks nervous (you think?) about it but after a look from Perry, complies.

Nelly: It's for the audience. So that they don't need to look at a blank face when I perform.
Nelly:..I guess it's for me, too. I don't get to see my face either.

If you chose 2, it leads to:
It seems she's not going to say much else to you on the subject of her act, so you ask if she's ready for the show.
She nods. She seems to need constant encouragement, for Perry has to speak to her yet again in order to draw something out of her. She stops moving. Is she staring at you?

Both lead to:
After a pause, she starts up again.

Nelly: ...I hope you're enjoying your tour, [Name]. Perry doesn't let many people visit.

She's staring at you, you can feel it. It's making you kind of nervous yourself. As if sensing it, Perry ushers you away from her.
Where would you like to go now?
