Regarding sprites

Guys, be sure to draw 2 outfits for each of your characters' sprites: one casual and one costume.

To make it easier, draw and color in nude outlines of the character's poses, then do like a paper-doll effect thing by drawing the different outfits on layers over it. Saves time and energy. ;D

You don't have to make the sprites right away, since we don't know what kind of emotions they'll go through yet. Maybe the number of poses you can have for each character would vary between 3-5. You can change the facial expressions, so you'll have multiple expressions for each pose. So far for Perry I've sketched 4 poses, and each pose has 2 or 3 facial expressions. xD

With sprites, d'you mean like.. pixel art? Or, or, just regular?
You want a specific shading? Cel?
Shall they be shoulders-up or the whole thang?

Just regular, no pixels, hahaha! -hates making pixel art- orz
You can use whatever shading you want, since everyone's different style will be put together to emphasize the diversity in the circus. And it'd be nice if you can draw the whole body, because we're gonna have to adjust the characters' placement in the game and do some resizing according to their heights.

Thanks, Jonah, although I have some difficulties with SAI. I can't seem to use it since it goes.. slow, to draw I mean.. It's like the line is 'behind' when I try to draw, but it works fine in paint and other stuff..
tried reinstalling but meh, even scanned the computer of viruses, but, no luck.

If you've had the same problem, could you perhaps give me a tip? I heard you had SAI so.. haah..

Fixed it! If you have the same problem, just change the 'stabilizer' in the corner of the pen settings ;D

Also, regarding the sprites.. are they supposed to look at the 'camera' ? ;K Well.. it depends on characters but still..

Yeah, they should face the player like they're talking directly to them. But it depends on their emotions too, like if they're sad, they can look away.

I'd say 3 is a good number. It's easier though when you have a good idea of what will happen or when you write the script, because then you'll know all the different expressions that your character has.

Time will "pass" when as player visits all the different places. The characters should stay in one place the whole time, doing their "work." After the player finishes visiting all the places, then the show begins. The "journalist" can ask whatever you guys want them to ask, haha. The player doesn't actually say anything, it's more like the characters "answer" stuff out of nowhere, haha. It would say something like, "Oh, what's my name? It's..." if that makes sense. OTL
